Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. He can take away your peace and security. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Romans 6:23 Ephesians 2:8, 9 John 14:6 1:12 Titus 3:5 Galatians 3:26 Romans 5:1īecause God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. Man is totally depraved and, of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning.Ģ Timothy 3:16 2 Peter 1:20,21 2 Timothy 1:13 Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6 Proverbs 30:5 The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.Ģ Corinthians 3:17 John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17 Acts 1:8 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16 Ephesians 1:13 Galatians 5:25 He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. ![]() He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. ![]() We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. ![]() God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.
